Another Big Night for X3 Sports MMA Fighters
Walter Cordiero, Marius Cujba and Clay Harveson win in dominating fashion
October 23, 2009 - With multiple X3 Sports fighters on the card and a big contingent of X3 Sports fans in the crowd it was bound to be an exciting night. Our fighters did not dissapoint, dishing out destruction from every position.
First up was Walter Cordiero, who was making his MMA debut. Walter is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so the fight was bound to end up on the ground. After trading a few punches, Walter hit a big double leg take down and began to work on top. After dominating on top and getting back to his feet, Walter proceeded to take his opponent down again and finally submitted his opponent with an armbar.

The next fighter to enter the cage was undefeated pro fighter Marius Cujba. Marius has been training with X3 Sports since the beginning and has been on a tear lately. After feeling each other out, Marius hits a nice double leg and works his opponent into the corner of the cage. From there, Marius was relentless and never let his opponent up, continuing to throw elbows, hammer fists and straight punches to the head until the referee stopped the fight in the middle of the first round. Marius improves his professional record to 3-0.
Our final competitor of the evening was Clay Harvison, who was making his debut with X3 Sports. Clay had been with another gym and came on board with X3 about 5 months ago. A stand-up specialist, Clay has been working hard in practice improving his wrestling which paid off in this fight. After a few exchanges, his opponent attempted a takedown which was thwarted by Clay's sprawl. While on the ground, Clay pounded his opponent and eventually won by TKO due to referee's stoppage.
