Upon graduating from McEachern High School in 2005, Clint was at a cross-roads deciding between the military and college. While still in limbo, he decided to try out boxing at another gym as a hobby and fell in love with it after one week. After finding some initial competitive success, he hit some hard times and had to take a 9 month layoff from boxing to work two jobs. After his hiatus from boxing, he was looking for a new gym to train at and stumbled across X3 Sports. “Coming here was great. Right away I could feel the family atmosphere and I loved it.” Soon after Clint started training at X3 Sports he went 4-0 and won the Georgia Games boxing tournament.
“After a few more months, I left my job and went to help my mom with her new business cleaning industrial buildings. This went downhill so I was struggling at the bottom of the food chain and still pursuing my boxing career. Times where getting real hard and X3 Sports lent a helping hand to me and gave me a job selling memberships. It was new to me and very hard at first but they kept encouraging me to keep working hard and everything will work out. So far it has big time. Not only did it help me obtain great people skills and business skills, I’ve made a big financial turnaround because of the helping hand.”
As a result of being involved at X3 Sports, Clint has been training in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under both Tony Tucci and Ranieri Paiva. In only about a year of training in BJJ, Clint earned his blue belt and has the following accomplishments:
By combining his experience as a boxer and his new found love for BJJ, Clint decided to pursue a career as a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter. Clint is now one of the most dominant fighters in Georgia and is a regular headliner on both MMA and Muay Thai fight cards.
“X3 Sports has helped me get my life together and have a plan to get to where I want to be in life. I am now on my way.”
