Energy transfer occurs through movement, and consolidation happens through stillness. Just as you wouldn’t use a hammer for a light bulb, avoid cardio kickboxing when you need recovery. Similarly, you wouldn’t use a sponge to drive a nail, so why limit yourself to safe movements?
