Muay Thai at X3 Sports in Athens
Muay Thai
Muay Thai, a traditional martial art from Thailand with a history exceeding 2000 years, has quickly emerged as one of the fastest-growing combat sports. Referred to as the "art of eight limbs," Muay Thai employs punches, kicks, knees, and elbow strikes, enabling a fighter, or nak-muay, to use eight points of contact. This differs from boxing's two points (fists) and the four points (fists and feet) in other martial arts. Additionally, Muay Thai incorporates stand-up grappling, known as the clinch.
