Bio
Maura is a Keppner Boxing Coach University–certified instructor who brings passion, skill, and heart to every kickboxing and boxing class she teaches. Having grown up playing all kinds of sports, Maura now channels her love for movement into boxing, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and running, with each one challenging her to think, adapt, and problem-solve in new ways. She’s dedicated to empowering others, especially women, to step into their strength through contact classes and combat training. Maura also coaches clients with Parkinson’s, helping them improve movement, balance, and confidence. Her mission is to lift others up, lead by example, and inspire everyone to be the best version of themselves both in and out of the gym.
What are your fitness or martial arts specialties?
Boxing
What sports did you/ do you compete in?
Played all types of sports growing up. Currently I do boxing, kickboxing, BJJ & run.
What was/is your favorite thing about that sport(s)?
I like them all for different reasons, but my favorite thing about them is they all make you think & problem solve in different ways.
What makes you feel like a Warrior?
I feel most like a warrior when I can empower others & lift them up.
What health, fitness, or martial arts goals do you help your clients meet?
I encourage our female clients to try the contact classes, spar & help with combat training for the women in MMA. I coach the Parkinson’s class & help them with movement, balance & strength. I also help our clients build confidence & be the best versions of themselves.
What motivates you to train and teach every day?
I want to be a role model to our clients & lead by example.
