Muay Thai

Muay Thai, a traditional martial art that originated in Thailand over 2000 years ago, is now one of the fastest-growing combat sports. Known as the "art of eight limbs," Muay Thai uses punches, kicks, knees, and elbow strikes, allowing a fighter, or nak-muay, to strike with eight points of contact. This contrasts with the two points (fists) used in boxing and the four points (fists and feet) used in other martial arts. Besides striking, Muay Thai also includes stand-up grappling, known as the clinch.
