Bio
My name is Joel Kasik and I am a lifelong martial artist. I have over 32 years of martial arts experience and have trained in numerous styles including Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kali, Dutch Kickboxing, Boxing, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and my main squeeze, Muay Thai. I have been involved in coaching martial arts since I was 14 and it has been an integral part of my life and identity since.
I am a former competitor in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, and won the IKF World's in 2011. While I had aspirations of going professional, my competitive career was cut short by injury. Following my injury, I devoted my focus to coaching and it has been a true passion since. I am blessed to have coached multiple world, national, and local championship fighters and continue to live out my passion through them.
I also have a B.S. in Exercise and Health Science and am a Physical Therapist Assistant. This is beneficial to my coaching abilities as I have extensive experience and education in physical performance.
Fun Fact: Outside of the gym, my family is my world, but I am pretty tired of getting beaten in basketball by my 9-year-old.
What's your reason why?
My "why" is that I love seeing people become the best versions of themselves and accomplish feats they never thought possible. I believe in improving the world one person at a time.
What do your clients and students say about you?
My students would describe me as someone who is not afraid to push them to their limits, but also as someone who will always have their back.
